How do I reduce ingrown hair?
This is one of the most common side effects of waxing. Ingrown hairs are hair strands which haven’t quiet broken through the skin surface but instead fold over on themselves and create unsightly spots on the skin.
Most of the time those hair strands find their own way to the surface but in some cases the ingrown hairs become slightly uncomfortable and a bit painful to the touch.
The best and most effective method for reducing ingrown hairs is to exfoliate daily for at least two weeks after your waxing session. Using a good quality loafer or hand exfoliating gloves does the trick. Make sure that the whole waxed area is exfoliated gently. You don’t have to be too harsh with the scrubbing, but it is important to exfoliate daily.
That’s the key in keeping the skin spot free and eliminates any occurrence of ingrown hairs. If you have already broken out in spots and ingrown hairs, it is advised that you exfoliate as soon as possible and carry on doing so till the spots gradually disappear.
